From that video, it seems ppl comb the neighbors in cars or on foot. Looking for packages. Not a "happened to find a box" thing, but more of a daily ritual for these thieves.

retribution is a cottage industry.
the good news for me is our house is in the woods.
From the road, no one even knows our house is there.

To me the just the term Porch Pirate glamorizes thieves. Growing up I liked the Pittsburgh Pirates and I know many found stories of real pirates fascinating - the sea, the treasure, etc. I wish someone would come up with a better term. Any suggestions?

Yes, you're right. Thieves can target anyone and any home. I don't live in fancy or own fancy. My driveway is long, curved and uphill but my house is not hidden. I worry about crime at my California home neighborhood as it's not uncommon there but in Colorado, nope. Not at all.

F-ing A-holes?? Since I know that would be my first response to them.
Package Pricks? although that could infer a gender which clearly would not be correct or PC.
T1tan's Chew toy??? has potential but probably infers some legal liability.
Makes me think about putting up a sign Warning Wild Coyotes in Area.
