Default S2ki .....a liittle auld lang syne

Most of us have been members for many years. S2ki is older now. The S2000 is somewhere between oblivion, history, fond remembrance or maybe becoming a classic.

Lots of people have come and gone, ideas, modifications and good times have played a part.

How about a little history thread, what are your remembrances of S2ki and "days gone by"?

Anyone want to play?

Sure...here's a bump to a historical thread.

All the pics in that thread above carry lots and lots of memories for those peeps who were present. Maybe they'll all chime in! Many haven't posted in awhile.

This is the thread for my first meet EVER. It set off a chain of wonderful meets and events and friendships that I truly hope never die!

We met NE folks in the spring summer of 2004. Green Mountain tour '04 in VT was our first "away meet." What a blast we had.

We met Vintage folks in the Spring of 2005 in WV. We've had so much fun with the S2000 crowd, met great people too.

We've missed the last two Spring Flings, but are hoping to get to MD for SF 12!

Brings back a lot of memories. My first really big meet was FC 03 in Hagerstown. Thinking about all the meets, etc. reminds me of all the poop that you, Ralper and Pas2k endured when the Vintage forum began. What a big brouhaha that caused!

^ When I was scrolling through threads to find that one with the meet pics, I saw some about the "good" old days. I didn't read them.

I didn't even scroll through the old Vintage threads. I did scroll through some of the Fall Colors threads, but they are difficult to find and not all of the links work anymore. Too bad. I pulled out my scrapbook that I used to keep and looked over a few of the pics, etc. We realllllly had some good times. Hard to believe how many years have gone by, but it was really neat to see some of the members who rarely if ever post any more. It has been a great ride and I cherish the friendships and memories.

Flts, this is a neat thread. Hope some other folks jump onboard.

I have no idea where the threads are but I remember when someone from the Tampa NSX club offered the Florida S2000 club the opportunity to provide parade cars for the inaugural St Pete Indycar Gran Prix.

everyone got involved and it generated a weekend track side party that was a absolute blast. It was the first S2ki Indycar event. That grew in to a nationwide thing. All from a post on S2ki.

cool
