Thumbs up Second Hand Mods....

I received a call yesterday from a friend who is not online here very often. It turns out that he's giving up his leased S2000 at the end of this month, and has offered me all of his mods at NO COST. He is a good friend, but this is a very nice gesture. I will only have to pay the labor to have the stuff swapped:

-after market exhaust (I love the sound effects)
-strut tower brace
-titanium shift knob
-sway brace
-glovebox organizer
-almost new set of 4 S-02/S-03 (only a few months old)
-other odds and ends

I'll post some pics from the "exchange" which is scheduled for Monday after T-day.

I would be curious what other stories folks have to tell about THEIR mod acquisitions, trouble shooting and miscellaneous related

Our only "real" mod is the cold air intake, which was purchased new. I'm not sure stereo mods count, but we love our S pods, also purchased new. We also have Muz mats which we like, and a decal on the windscreen.

If $ were no object I'm sure +1 would have other mods on it.

I only have OEM items (trunk spoiler, front under spoiler, CD changer, XM, hardtop) that I bought new, and non OEM, Muz mats. I need to get new shocks I think, and after pricing OEMs, I'm going for Bilsteins when I get to it. OEMs cost too much.

You can't beat that price Jerry.
As for me the few that I have (cai, front spoiler, oem hardtop) were all bought new or in the case of Rick's shifter it was a Xmas gift.

What a sweet deal!

What brand exhaust?

The only mod I bought second hand was a comptech intake.

I've got a few mods and bought them all new because on the one hand I didn't want someone else's problems and on the second hand I didn't want to develop a problem later on and have a beef with someone who's most likely on this site somewhere. So far, so good.

Good for you Jerry! You can't beat the price.

I haven't changed anything this year but I'm looking into changing the suspension and a better flowing dual exhaust. But the exhaust change would allow more boost so...

Any advice on the suspension stuff? Particularly coilovers that would allow more caster? I may have bent the driver's side lower control arm once upon a time.

My only used mod is a set of RAYS rims. Can't beat the price, Jerry.
