Serenity NOW!
I don't know how many of you are fans of the short-lived Sci-Fi channel series 'Firefly', but this is easily one of the best new series to come out of anywhere in recent memory. The movie "Serenity" is due out in movie theaters within the next month or so. For those unfamiliar, I'm posting an article that was forwarded to me on another list that summarizes the story quite well:
Serenity Now!
by J.E. Crosby
The short-lived TV series Firefly may be named for an insect, but it will soon resemble a mythological bird. It is about to rise from the ashes of television obscurity and be reborn in a theater near you as the motion picture Serenity.
Firefly was just beginning to catch the attention of the public before it was cast into TV purgatory by inept programmers at the Fox network.
Yet this show was simply too good to die. Sales of the show's 14 episodes on DVD nurtured a cult following so strong that it sparked the theatrical resurrection scheduled for a September 30th release.
Science fiction may not be your preferred genre, but suspend judgment for the moment. Firefly is actually a western

I just saw the trailer and realized that it was the same cast from the show. I really enjoyed the show for the short amount of time it was on. Maybe Fox will reconsider and bring it back. They brought back Family Guy after all.

I'd think it's safe to say that before Fox brings it back, the series will move to another channel. Kind of like babylon 5 or Stargate SG1.
I never did see Firefly, but I'm a huge fan of Farscape. I'm gonna have to try getting the DVD set for Firefly and also catch the movie.
Jonas, on another note, the book information I sent you, Eragon and Eldest, well Eragon is in production for a possible late 2006 theatrical release. I hope they do a decent job of it.
Tom, counting the days till CHEEEEESE, Grommit!!!

Never saw the TV program, but it sounds interesting. Definitely one I'll look for when it comes out on DVD.
