Go for it. You'll miss the 9k -- I still do even after more than a year and a half, but I do not miss the plastic window and the rougher feel. I love my '06 and have no regrets.

Val's hit it one the head. If you prefer the raw 'uncivilized' feel of the '01, you will have to sell yourself on the '07. The '07 has a much more refined, less visceral feel to it than the AP1.

Patty's right, too..... you gotta like the color!

I've been tempted to buy a new(er) "S" also, and while I do like the glass rear window, I do NOT like the feel of the "drive by wire", nor do I care for the Vehicle Stability Assist that gets in your face every time you get in the car (because you gotta turn it off.... or put up with it ). So far, I've resisted the temptation.

Sounds like a dilemma, because it is priced so 'right', and has so few miles on it. Either way, you'll still be in an "S"

Good luck!

Val beat me to this one...you know what she and I did. I'm not sorry, either.

I thought I'd notice the VSA, but NOT. It has never even come into action on mine at all. I suppose if I tracked, I'd just turn it off, but that's not something I feel the need to do at this point. I did have a scary experience coming over the mountains driving a dealer's Element on an icy curve and without that VSA, I believe I'd have gone over the mountain. to VSA. As far as the DBW, it has now become unnoticeable to me. The ONLY thing I miss about my old one is the 9k redline and as time goes by it becomes less and less important. I've enjoyed both my S2ks and even with the "cushy" '06, I still have a raw sportscar with just a few little tweaks.

[QUOTE=Kyras,Jan 4 2008, 02:20 AM] Gene, the big question is, what color is it?

Thanks, everyone, for your opinions. I still have about 2 hours before the salesman will be calling me, and I'm still on the fence; however, I'm leaning towards the majority vote.

I went from an 02 to an 07, and I couldn't be happier.

Good luck on your new car.

You must let the test drive make the decision.
For me, it's 9k red in an S, nothing else is exceptable.

Patty,

It's Laguna Blue. Here's the car.
Don't you buy it!! Let me at it! I told our local Cali guy, who sells many S2000s and other Hondas and Acuras to S2ki memebers (my '05 Suzuka, an '06 RSX and a Pilot to my family) to keep a look out for a Laguna for me.
