Why? The real question is why? If you have a car that has proven itself to be reliable and the only real differences are a tweek here and tweek there, you have to ask yourself why?

Everyone who has owned a 9k engine misses the excitement that it brought.

I don't know about you but the #1 reason I couldn't sleep after my first redline of a broken in S2000 test car was that engine!

Well, I hope it's got a healthy engine under the hood. I hope you buy it too.

If I'm not too late to chime in - go for it! Enjoy life and spend your money, unless you plan on leaving it to me

The 1st S I ever testdrove was a used one, because I wanted to experience the full monty and I did not want to wind up a brand new car to 9 grand that someone else would end up buying.

Dave is right, you MUST go drive the AP2 and decide for yourself after your test drive.

Doesn't REALLY matter, because you don't have one of the two best years ('02-'03), so either choice is imperfect.

But really, I suspect one drive will tell you what you need to know. Take the '07 for a spin, then get back in your '01. Your heart will tell you what to do.

I have a MY-99;it's a real go kart,and I it...

If you want a more comfortable ride, then go ahead.

But,you can't have your cake and eat it...
