Jim and I have become totally addicted to the Fox TV scifi show, Fringe. I love sci fi and Fringe really fits the bill. Anyone else watching?
Another new scifi show that I watched the other night is on the science fiction channel and is produced by Amanda Tapping (of Star Gate). It debuted Friday night and looks quite promising.

YES! I missed first ep of Fringe but have watched the last 2 so far. And I liked Sanctuary - watched it last nice (LOVE TIVO!!!).

I was wondering if anyone else besides Jonas was a sci fi fan

Since I'm older than Jonas, I was a scifi fan first . Zippy is a scifi fan as well. I've found several on some of the regional forums, but we're the only ones I'm fairly sure of on Vintage. Did you see Firefly? I had to buy the series as well as Earth 2. Love, love, love Eureka (humorous scifi). Eureka reminds me of places that Jim (my +1) has worked. The geek-types are his kind of people.

Eureka is a very well written show, and I have gotten Nancy hooked too.
I watched Fringe the first night and liked it a lot, but it interfered with Eureka and Dancing with the Stars (a +1 favorite). I will start watching Fringe on Hulu, and without commercials. I recorded Santuary on Friday and we will finally get a chance to see it today.
Geeks are us.

I watched Dr. Who years ago (the original one), but don't have TV time to watch all the stuff that's out there. I was a trekkie years ago and liked all of the star trek programs. I enjoy good scifi movies and good scifi books as well. I never watch for the looks of the folks and don't even know the names of the actors.

Does anyone besides Jonas and I like Torchwood and Dr Who? Two of our mutual faves we discovered when talking.
Did you see that the Sarah Jane Adventures have started their second season again? I downloaded the first 2 episodes, but haven't watched them until I catch up with the rest of the first season. There will apparently be a story that crosses over into Dr. Who this season, so it will be good to get the back story. (I know it's not nearly as good as Torchwood or Dr. Who, but since the stories intertwine, I might as well).

Darlene, if you remember one of the Doctor's companions during the 'K-9' period - Sarah Jane Smith - a cute short brunette with bell bottoms. The actress appeared a bit in the new Dr. Who as a much older Sarah Jane, and apparently made such a splash with the fans that they gave her her own series.

Glad you're enjoying nice weather, Jonas. I do remember little Sarah Jane. I wish I had the time to enjoy all the scifi that's out there now. We went through YEARS of such a dry spell and now it seems everything looks like its so good. I'd never read anything or be able to keep up with life if I watched everything I'd like to watch. Did you watch Sanctuary, Jonas? It was really good, but I'm loving Fringe right now.
