Does anyone remember Space: Above and Beyond? How about Surface and Invasion? Or how about my all time favorite, Farscape?
My single favorite scifi episode was the Twilight Zone "To Serve Man"
Amanda Tapping left Atlantis, because she is the exec producer of Sanctuary, and wanted to put her efforts into it, or so I have read.
And Va, I think there are a great many Ferengis masquerading as HUE-MONS.
Another good show that was NOT a series was Outer Limits. I was very sad the day I realized I had seen all the eps. Many of them were very thought provoking.
The one that continues to stand out in my mind is when a township has been abducted and is being studied by aliens as a possible slave race. The entire town allows themselves to be infected by a deadly disease in order to save the rest of their race.
