Default So I get this call

Last night I got this call from Grannyrod. She said, what's wrong, honey, I got this message from you saying, "Call me at Home." What??? I didn't send you a message. So she said, well, I could have sworn it was from you. So, we chatted a bit and laughed a bit and hung up. This morning I got a text message from Grannyrod . . . "it says its from you." Dohhh, then it hit me. I was attempting to send a text message to my granddaughter . . . "call me at home". I accidentally scrolled to grannyrod's number which is the one immediately above my granddaughter's. I feel like a fool. ARRRRRRRGH -- technology.

Say to Granny for me, next time you call her.

So, have you heard from your daughter?

A week ago at the College Station Inn (aka Clarion) in College Station, TX my cell phone was stolen from my room while it was being charged when I was out at the track. Turns out the maid, who doesn't speak English, took it. I reported it to the front desk, and they asked the service staff about it -- with denials all around. When I called my number, a lady answered, saying she had "bought the phone for $200 from a muchacho by the name of Ramiro". I think the police got involved. In the end I got the phone back from the management a week later. The leather cover was gone, my call list had been erased, and every variable -- ring tone, language, options had been changed, and a large bill had been run up on the number.

Wow!

Very annoying! Will management do anything else for you?

Nope, they even wanted to charge me the return postage. I had the service discontinued as soon as I found out that the phone was being used by someone else. Verizon doesn't charge me for the calls made while the phone was not in my possession. The rest -- however inconvenient -- I will just forget about. I think I'll find another motel, though, from now on.
