Something else we did wrong!
Every day, studies show we screwed up as parents. We did it all wrong. Now, it appears, that the strollers we put our children in, should have had the child facing us, for proper interaction, and less stress for baby.
Parents who choose a stroller that seats their baby facing away from them could risk long-term development problems in their children, according to a study published Friday.
Parents are less likely to interact with children in forward-facing strollers.
The research found that children not facing the person pushing them were significantly less likely to talk, laugh and interact with their parents.
Walking with baby
OK, I see where they are coming from, but I think parents have enough to worry about, give them a break.
I have an older carriage/stroller that I still use for my grandson. He loves going for "walks". The handle goes from either side, which I use, more so to keep him out of the sun as much as possible. When he is facing away from me, he is very aware of his surroundings, trucks, cars, trees, he sees it all and comments. Somehow, I think he'll be OK, even with the time he spends facing in the opposite direction of the person walking him.

Then they'll learn that kids who don't look forward cannot cut the umbilical cord and face life on their own, without getting momma's approval. And they'll have lower I.Q.s (if they even allow that anymore) because they didn't get enough stimulation when they were in their strollers. Heck, seems to me most kids are sound asleep in them anyway. That's why parents like them. The kids are too heavy to carry all the time.
Another study that's an amazing waste of money.
How about how babies should sleep, to avoid SIDS? When I had my kids in 1987 and 1988, the word was NEVER FACE DOWN. I do believe the word now is NEVER FACE UP.
