Spring is here
I am told Spring arrived yesterday. Today I saw three people trailering boats. Hum, I still have snow in my front ditch but since they say it is here, here are some ideas for how to spend the first week of spring.

- Get outside! Look around. Are worms and grubs reappearing?
- Watch the arc of the Sun across the sky as it shifts toward the north. Birds are migrating northward, along with the path of the Sun.
- Are you noticing that the days are getting longer? Did you know that the increasing sunlight inspires birds to sing? Cool, eh?
- Are daffodils poking up their heads? Trees, shrubs, and flowers are sensitive to temperature and day length, too!
- Can you feel the Sun getting stronger? The longer days bring high temperatures. Both we and the animals around us discard our warm clothes and heavy coats!
- Do you plan to garden? The first day of spring is a traditional day to start in the garden!
- Are you craving fresh foods after a long winter?
- Are you ready to sit outside and enjoy a brew? Maybe in FL but high here tomorrow is only 52°

Spring was here today. Top down in the Honda. Went looking for some ospreys, but none nesting, however one flew over. The crocus are up, and the honeybees are buzzing.
Signs of springs, however March is pretty iffy here in MA.

The arrival of birds was very evident about 7-10 days ago , they descended on our neighbourhood like crazy scavenging the soil for food. Our cat is much more active at the windows now too, coincidence ?
