I know I'm , since I have both these records on my Seeburg Jukebox!
I like those records, but can't see myself spending any time visiting her house.

Bump for what to do in Winchester. Hey Lainey, I think there are some nice roads nearby, but I'm guessing they will be part of the Saturday drive. The hotel has a "things to do" page and most of it looks like Civil War stuff or scenic routes. DC looks to be a couple of hours away, but I'm not sure how we would manage that with parking, transportation and walking.
Hey, Bill. I had some tourist info sent to me. I think we're going to look for scenic stuff for taking, maybe head into the old downtown area for lunch or whatever. Likely will skip Civil war stuff this trip.

When are you and Barbara heading down?

Can't wait...need some time away.

Not really sure we are going. Barbara and I will discuss it further. If we go, it will probably be the usual "leave Mass on Thursday arrive at the meet on Friday" kind of drive in order to break things up. Probably the same two day trip going back. Neither one of us care for the forced 10 hour drives.

We are planning to head down earlier to have a full day there on Friday, before the start of the meet. We don't care for the forced 10 hour drive either. We may do it in one shot on the way back, as right now I think Rick is hoping to be at work on the Monday. I'm taking the Monday off though. I always need to recuperate from the late nights of a Vintage meet.

Edit: I misread your first sentence. I thought it said not sure WHEN not IF you were going. I do hope you make it!

I, for one, will be very disappointed if you and Barbara don't make it, LB.

We will discuss it tonight. This has more to do with physical limitations than anything else.

Umm, that would be, "Air and Space Sunday, a hotel in Crystal CIty near National for Sunday night, Blue line to Federal Triangle on Monday after 9:00am so we don't have to pay rush hour fees." (There are a number of hotels near National in Crystal City, all within a 10 minute taxi ride (almost impossible to walk to National) to the airport. There are a number of good restaurants on 23rd Street in Crystal City or you can drive down Rt 1 to Alexandria and find some seriously good places to eat. (ask me and I'll be happy to recommend almost any kind of restaurant you want with the exception of chains of any kind). BTW, if you use a paper farecard there is an additional $1 charge on top of the fare. It's almost worthwhile to buy a Smartcard but if you go to www.wmata.com you can plan your trip and it will tell you the fares for the Metro... oh, and be careful, there has been an uptick lately of people snatching electronics from riders, but Metro is probably one of the safest systems in the world.

I'm coming through Nooga, so I'll make sure you're on the road this time! Caravan. Any chance we could get Darwin to join us?

Since I have more time during the day now, you can PM me if you want to meet up while you are in town. I'm right on the Blue/Orange lines at Rosslyn. That goes for anyone who is in town for whatever whenever.
