Patty, isn't that Dragon fun? How many times will you be driving it tomorrow?
Was it worth the drive from CA? How long did it take you to get through the 11 miles - I AM NOT encouraging you to drive like crazy. Did you look at the Tree of Shame at Deals Gap, it is sobering to do so. See you soon.

 

I did see that tree and took a photo of it. I think Jim and I will drive it again in the morning before we head to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is fun. Killbill (or whatever) took our photos as we went by very slowly behind an SUV that wouldn't pull over.

 

Katherine, this was just a tease, the Dragon. I'm doing the drive for the Vintage meet, and being able to play with all you friends in my own car for once. That will be the real fun. That and the partying on Friday and Saturday nights. I've been enjoying myself a lot every day. I like driving the S2000.

 

I knew you didn't come just to drive the Dragon but I'm sure it added some addtional flavour. First time I've heard it called a tease. So glad you have enjoyed the trip (with a small exception). I'll look forward to talking. We really want to go and drive Rt 1, one of these years.

We'll be rolling about 9 am tomorrow, with a planned arrival at Wintergreen noonish. Stopping at the Mark Addy first to say hi to Leslie and make sure we are all set for tomorrow night's dinner. Safe travels to all!

 

We're planning on leaving in the mid-to late afternoon. This is the first time we've only had a 90 minute drive to a meet. It feels great. I'm really hoping Jim and Patty get to come by here tomorrow before they head up. Patty can cruise up with us and I picked up a flyer on the house next door for her to see. Maybe she can pick it up as a summer home.

 

Hopefully rush hour traffic will be heading the other way.......

We're out of Alexandria and westbound around 8:00am. Be careful and have a good trip.
