Hey, locals - is there a shop nearby that would carry some good microbrews? 7-11 usually won't cut it. I need to decide if I bring my own or buy locally. (I'm talking about something better than Sam Adams).

You might have to take a short drive to Charlottesville to Foods Of All Nations on Rt 250 West just inside the city limits on your left as you come into town. There are a bunch of places on the Main Street Mall that have microbrews but I don't know if they sell them by the 6 pack or case...You might also check with some of the shops in the Wintergreen area, it's a pretty upscale area and just might have what you're looking for.
Hey, anybody on? I'm at the Fontana Lodge near the Dragon. Jim was whooped and went to bed. We drove the Dragon in and then went to the lodge and checked in to our very nice rooms. Hung out on the deck of Jim's room for a bit and then drove back to Dealers Gap and then down to Robbinsville, and back. What a blast!
We'll be going into Charlottesville around 6:00pm Friday evening if you'd like to follow us in. We can show you some more interesting roads to drive to Foods of All Nations and you can come back the easy way.
24 hours from now we'll be here......2 hours and 100 miles closer to Wintergreen. We'll leave on Friday am and stop for lunch in Harrisonburg with oldster cousin of my MIL
Anyone driving south on I-81 in the early afternoon?????
I won't be on for long. I have about 5 more things to chase down for the trip, then it's off to bed so I can get up early & get to work by 8. I hope to leave work by 4pm, get home at 4:30, throw everything in the car, & leave by 5. Wishful thinking, I know......
I'm driving the Dragon next Monday morning....you and Jim will have to tell me all of the ins and outs
Jim has been here before so he knows the ins and and outs. It's a great road. And being here on a Wednesday afternoon and night, we have very little traffic. We just drove part of it in the dark, coming back from gas and dinner in Robinsville, and had no one at all on the road in front of us.

Thanks, but I'm joining Lainey & the bunch for dinner at 7.
