Pretty much that exact car was my introduction to the Honda family. That silver CVCC was rusted so bad we affectionately call it "Spot".

Thanks all.

New floor mats are definitely on the list as an alternative to getting a molded carpet kit shipped from Australia and paying for the tweaking and installation on top of shipping that costs more than the kit itself. One thing has held me up getting floor mats so far...I want fitted (aka 'custom'') mats and finding those in a color that blends with the "rose" interior has proven to be quite a challenge. Custom mats are offered in many colors these days. I never knew there were so many shades of black, grey and beige, Would LOVE to find some of the original floor mats in good condition. Fuzz on vinyl with that old wide "H" logo just screams 70s. But if I can find some fitted mats in a reasonable color I will be all over them.

Dave, I hope we can meet up at an event some day. I will be sure to bring a 12 pack. Sounds like a story I want to hear.
And speaking of "blast from the past", I'm sure the graphics on that Corona contributed hugely to the fun factor. I can absolutely see that car being a blast with its light weight, rev happy little four banger, rear wheel drive, and four speed, Practicality and reliability combined with as much driving fun as a British sports car? What's not to love?
