A touch of class.

A touch of class.
As many of you know, I belong to both this site, S2KI, and S2KCA. I feel that both are valuable to the S2000 community, and as a result, I support both. I spend most of my time here because this is where Vintage is, and this is where all of you are, but I occasionally go there too. I enjoy this site and I enjoy that site.
Today, when I arrived home I found a package from S2KCA in my mailbox. I couldn't imagine what it was, so I immediately opened it. In it I found a license plate frame, and a copy of the new S2KCA newsletter.
Both where sent to me as part of my membership. Neither is a big deal, but I thought it was a very classy thing to do, just as I thought the S2000 keyring that I received after I renewed my membership was a very classy thing to do.

Got mine yesterday. It is classy, however, I simply stopped signing on to the site because of the constant S2ki bashing which I think is not classy.
I agree, the S2KI bashing threads were not very classy, but they've calmed down a bit. They don't do that too much anymore.

It's under new management with new member motivation. Non-profit as always and it seems to be gaining membership. I have not heard any reference to we vs. them stuff in a long, long time.

I never really spent any time there, and the few times I browsed there was so much anti-S2KI that I felt it wasn't something I wanted to participate in.

Greg Stevens has left and a lot of the animosity for S2KI went with him. Occasionally an exile from S2KI will complain, but mostly they go their own way.

I guess things can change, but I never renewed after the first year. I don't like plate frames. To tell you the truth, I forgot that website existed.
There is more info here on s2ki than I can assimilate....I rarely venture beyond the Vintage and Del Val Forums I used to read every word on both of those forums, but find it's impossible now. I already spend too much time here.....
