We were planning, as usual, on having sons, daughters, grandkids, husbands, wives and sig others [About 14 in all].
Then two weeks ago Dorothy got a case of the flue [moderately severe] and I got it about a week ago [mild].
Guess the "Senior" flue shots didn't take.
Neither one of us is anywhere near back to 100%. So we cancelled it. [Everybody has found other places to go].
We'll be having "Slow Cooker Turkey Breast with Dressing" and assorted veggies, alone.
Not what we wanted to do but s**t happens every now and then.

With all due respect, I think we'll find something else to do.....Like almost anything.

Another Thanksgiving tradition seems to be all the Godfather movies.
Oh, and the +1 runs the Alexandria Turkey Trot. Did pretty well, but it was really cold!!

We always go to my cousins house. No turkey this year, just a huge sliced filet. Much better. His wife made 3 home made pies. Apple, pumpkin and a pecan pie laced with bourbon. Yummmm. Tried all 3.

I was rather proud of myself. Even after the pecan pie and ice cream and apple pie with ice cream.
I went to bed weighing the same as I did the night before.

My wife was very proud of herself . . . she did not screw up anything on Turkey Day! And she always does - - there's always something that doesn't go as planned. Not this time. She always makes two fresh from scratch pumpkin pies, her own stuffing, etc., etc.

Turkey pie, it's what's for dinner tonight. We also have some turkey salad in the refrigerator. That will be the end of the turkey, and it may not all be consumed, it may have to be dumped.

Speaking of the scale. Mine is not friendly. Ate a salad yesterday for lunch, a healthy dinner, worked out at the Y, but the damn scale did not budge.....I call
