Twist the Throttle - Honda
This is a great 60 minute show about the beginnings of Soichiro Honda. It is made from a motorcycle point of view (however they do show an S2000 in the main showroom). I taped it a week or so ago and both I and my wife really enjoyed it. Apparently it's shown multiple times on tv. I knew some of the stuff already but there was also new material I was not aware of. It REALLY makes you appreciate just how BIG this little man thought!
Next showing is Saturday, August 8 at 5:00 pm on the HD Theater channel. A must see, if you've not yet seen it.

Bummer...I don't get HD Theater and I will be working our festival Saturday. Maybe I can find it on the Internet.
Regardless, thanks for the heads up!

I watched it the other night after recording it on our DVR. It is a VERY interesting history of the man and his dream. As I was in the motorcycle industry from 1973-1988 it hit close to my . Especially having toured the plant in Marysville Ohio shortly after it opened.
I also remember when Freddie Spencer was racing in the Western Eastern Road Racing Association (WERRA) which was like the motorcycle version of the SCCA back in the '70s & early 80's. By the age of sixteen he had already made a name for himself at the National level. Yes, even back then he was called "Fast Freddie".
