Then people would be able to get into your trunk when you leave the car with the top down. I'll keep my trunk release button in the lockable glove box, thanks.

Drove a 1999 vette that my wife had detailed and talk about buttons everywhere. Very distracting visually and on the road. If you don't sit in the car blindfolded in the garage and find all the buttons before hand, things on the road could get dicey.

Then we tried to put the convertible top down, after page 3 and determining this was some sort of surgical procedure, my husband looked at me and said "will you quit messing around and tell me where the button is?" Sorry dear, 53K and no button......go figure!

These comments reminded me that "car detailer" would make a great retirement job for many of us One of our Delaware Valley members S2KRAY (also a vintage member but does not post much) actually DOES this on weekends....along with a day job.
