Default Unlocking S2000 with cell phone!

I received this today and was wondering if anyone has tried this before or even thought of doing this?

Very interesting!

For those of you who have a car that can be unlocked by that remote button on your key ring: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are home, and you don't have "OnStar," here's your answer to the problem!

If some one has access to the spare remote at your home, call them on your cell phone (or borrow one from someone if the cell phone is locked in the car too!)

Hold your (or anyone's) cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the other person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the phone on their end.

Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk, or have the "horn" signal go off, or whatever!)

Note from Friend: I receive so much junk that I don't trust any of it but I tried this and it worked. Try it yourself-lock you car while it is in the garage and go to a far removed area of the house and try to unlock it. It won't work. Now, have your spouse or someone stand near the car with the cellular phone. Dial them up and see if it doesn't work. Distance doesn't seem to be a factor.

I just tried it on my car. It worked like a champ!

Are you serious? Or are you just dying from laughing inside at all of the poor chumps (like me) who will try this at home?

Well, if nobody else tries it before I get home from work tonight, I guess I'll be the guinea pig. That way you guys can laugh at me for being the impresionable kid at the "little table".

Is this for real? If minako doesn't try it tonight, I'm going to try it tomorrow.

About six months ago my wife locked her keys in her TL (with the engine running). She had her cell phone with her and she called me. We never thought to do this. I left work and met her about twenty minutes later with my keys. Had I known about this, and if it really works, this would have saved a lot of trouble.

I hope it really works.

Wouldn't have thought the Operating Frequency of the transmitter would line up with the frequency range of a Mobile Phone.

Do you have to disable the "Radar Detector" on your Nokia to make it work?

Cheers,
Al

I was going to do this but I'm the only one up at my house. I will try this tomorrow too, minako.
