Default Vintage Cheeseburger Race

Ha ha

I just ran down to the grocery store for coffee and bloody mary mix. As I turned onto a main street by my house there was a newer yellow nsx stopped at the light to my left. After I turned right I took it easy so I could look at his car. He caught up to me and just as he pulls around to get next to me he cans it and there I am in third....

Next thing I know he's turning in where I'm going. He was headed for McDonalds I was headed for the grocery store. As I went by I asked him what year it was he told it was 2002. I told him to try me again sometime when I'm not a gear up, we'll race for cheeseburgers. He laughed I went to the Publix.

When I came out he was parked next to me with guess what. Here's a vintage looking guy with two cheeseburgers.

We left the together and played all the way back to the beach. My cheeseburger was free. We both decided Honda builds good cars and he's going to the next autox with me.

I like saturday mornings

stuff, flts. Amazing how these cars find and make friends for us, isn't it.

Thanks for sharing your "Saturday morning" cheeseburger with us. Made my Saturday morning feel a little happier, too.

Great story! I thought we were racing to find the best cheeseburgers around.

We would know where to go. I can tell you that the BEST cheeseburgers Rick and I ever had were at a "Cheeseburger at the Oasis" restaurant at the Alladin Hotel in Vegas.

flts,

I just reread your story and it reminds me of something that goes on around here.

Sometimes I'll be on the road just loafing along and I meet up with another sportscar (usually a Corvette or Porsche). Without any signal we find ourselves "running" down the road. No competition, no racing, just running. Sometimes I lead, sometimes he leads but always its just fun. It gets even better if a third car joins us.

This usually goes on for a few exits and by time one of us is ready to break off we feel an attachment. A beep and a wave and out the exit.

It's amazing that these cars bring us together.
