Does she enjoy all the decorations she puts out? If she does, it's all good.

I don't like putting the stuff out and then away. I did when the kids were little but now it's not fun. I hope it becomes fun again for me.

In the spirit of Christmas, I bought a 4 1/2' pre-lit tree this weekend. NO more messing with the larger tree, lights and all.

If there were no grandkids nearby, there would be no tree, but maybe you folks guessed that from my signature line.

She does. She says that's all that matters.

My job is the outside lights and making sure she doesn't burn the house down inside, as well.

I always kid her that she was brain-washed by Hudson's in Detroit as a kid. That was a big department store that turned one entire floor into the North Pole every year.

Her older sister is the same way, only she takes over half the house with trains and houses that light up. Another sister of her's gave her a painting of Hudson's. There's a clue there.

^ I for one think that Christmas is a great time of the year to celebrate and enjoy. For the entire month, people are excited and filled with anticipation. Christmas is not destination but journey.

Christmas decorations are mostly colorful and bright which seem to make the dreary winter more bearable. Although I do not necessarily like the commercialization aspect of the season, neverthless, I think it is wonderful time of year to be filled with jolly and kindred spirit towards others.

I love Christmas season. We need more reasons to celebrate life.

Talk about having the Christmas spirit, We have a friend that put up this light display last year.

The video does NOT to it justice. The music was a pod cast to a FM frequency. Over 85,000 lights and LED's with six controllers.

So, if one bulb goes out, the whole thing doesn't shut down

Rob,
I'm thinking this thread will not take the place of "Shoot'n the Breeze" thread in Vintage.
