Nice and cool 54F this morning in Durango. Much more pleasant than the weather in Houston. With lots of recent rain it's very green and beautiful here. I flew up yesterday with Tara.

She likes to travel in her little carrier. It slides under the seat in front of me. She doesn't even wet the carrier pad during those hrs of air travel. . The only thing I give her is water and little Greenie bits now and then to keep her happy.

Yeah, you guys got it. All the heavy rain bypassed us this time. We are actually about an inch low, even with the record rain we got in June. July was hot, though, without much.

Not much rain the past week except for one big t-storm. This week looking hotter (90s). Not sure if we get the remnants of Erika up here or not. Lots of rain in FL, GA and SC today/tomorrow.

10% chance of rain the other day so I rode the motorcycle to work. On the way home, I hit a "wall of water" on the expressway. Very heavy down pour. To make things worse, this expressway ends in a T intersection. There was a 4 car pileup at the end due to the heavy rain and driver inattention/inability. I ended up parked for 15 minutes in the pouring rain. I was wearing a vented motorcycle jacket for the hot weather and was soaked all the way to my core.
