Temps have moderated into the 80s instead of 90s. And we got quite a bit of rain the past couple of days. So some improvement. Yay...

Humidity is still up after quite a bit of rain the past few days. Fortunately, we did not get the flooding that happened up in MD. My A/C decided to conk out yesterday, but the repair guy is coming this morning, so not so bad. It's about 80. Could have been worse. I have the fan running so that helps. it's not the whole unit needing replacement. It's 10 years old.

Still dry here. I've lost track of when I last cut the lawn. I think it is going on two months! I had to put a battery tender on the mower as I was afraid the battery was going dead from lack of use.

Yay...turned out to be a short in a wire going to the roof from the air handler. There were extra wires in the bundle so he just transferred to an unused one. I was very surprised he got here today and first thing. I thought they would be swamped with A/C calls, but since they are big contractors in the building, I guess it pays for them to provide good service. In any event, I'm pleased!!

My upstairs AC has not stopped all afternoon. It's 97 with a heat index of 118. The next door neighbors have been getting a new AC unit installed all day. Must be miserable in their house.

My AC has been working fine, all four zones.
I am concerned that the bearings in the electric meter might burn out because it's spinning so hard.

But the local utility is smiling. At least you are helping the local community.
