Sunny and cold today, but tonight through Tues AM we are getting a nasty mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain - 3-5". The +1 was going up to Laurel MD tomorrow to work (even though it's a fed holiday). Not happening now. He can do some stuff from home.

I ran the air conditioner last night. I hate sleeping when I'm too warm. It's currently 72*F out at 7:17 AM in sunny so cal.

8-12" of snow predicted for tomorrow. At least it will be warm at 35 degrees.

Minus 6 over the weekend sucked.

A slow warmup this morning, so lots of ice still around causing accidents. Late start for the gov't, etc. The +1 was supposed to drive up to Laurel MD this AM, but that ain't happening. Once the rain comes and warmer temps 10ish, things will improve rapidly. Low 50s today.

The drive in to work today was one of the worst I can remember. Even with good snow tires on the Civic, I had to keep it down a gear and it felt like I was plowing snow the 16 miles to work. The back end was constantly swaying back and forth at 25 mph. I went to bed at 10:30 with no snow in the driveway. There must have been 8+ inches at 7:00 this morning. Supposed to have close to 20" by the time I get out of work.

Well, he decided to go. So far, OK. Except for the crazies on the road who don't care what the conditions are and drive like maniacs. Defensive driving is always the way to go here.

That sounds dicey. It has front wheel drive, right? Your ride home should be even dicier! Except I guess the road maintenance is good there in snow.
