well obviously these are out of staters who relocated, not native New Englanders. or maybe new yorkers....who knows
but I can tell you city folk don't know how to drive period..... they just don't know how to do it. and i'll tell you why.
New Yorkers have folks who do it for them. They don't have to drive. I mean who wants to drive in the snow? Really? Who would do that?
But those folks from New England we could hire them for New York because they really know how to drive.

I'm already suffering from the winter blues.

All the fun toys have been parked for a month. Even though there is no snow yet, everything is damp and gloomy. Work is beyond boring and when I get home I don't feel like doing anything. I can't wait to retire. My mood might be different when I don't work in a converted warehouse with no windows. It would be nice to see the sun occasionally.

Good question! I play with the retirement calculators almost daily and get different numbers every time. Current plan is about 1.5 years.

Visiting friends in Punta Gorda, Fla. Overcast and 70. Sunny and 80's rest of week. Going fishing in morning on my friends boat.

Oh, well, you are good - that will blow by. Its just under 40 degrees warm here and I been out hanging Xmas lights, setting timers, etc. So I get to check off 1 of 9 items on my Do List. Trust me, there is always plenty to do once you retire. But the nice thing is a Jim Beam at 3:30 pm makes everything brighter.

The lake effect machine is warming up again! Predictions for 2-3 feet of snow Thursday-Saturday. Once again, they are having trouble predicting exactly where it will hit. I suspect I won't see those numbers, but someone within a 1/2 drive of my house will get bombed!!

Wow! That's a lot of snow!

The lows have been in the low 50's in Lake Forest, of So Cal. I love it. I thought the 90* days would never end!

I was at Laguna Beach, CA on Saturday evening looking at the tide pools. The sunset with Catalina Island showing clearly.
