Freezing rain all afternoon, Emil. In spite of that, we decided to walk the long 4 blocks for pizza around 4 pm. Should have called first, as they were closed until 8 January. Got soaked and I slipped and fell on the ice (no damage). Found a nice diner anyway and gave up trying to hail a taxi to get back to the hotel, so gingerly made our way back, since the rain had eased off. Wish it was snow! Now nice and warm inside for the night.
Still love Montreal.

Probably already have around 3 - 4 feet of snow on the ground.

Big difference between Quebec City and Montreal, n'est pas? We drove up to Trois-Rivières on Christmas Day and noticed the difference that 150km trip made in the amount of snow on the ground. Returning to Montreal turned into quite an ordeal, as the traffic was horrendous on the Autoroute as we approached the city. Our GPS rerouted us way out into the country to avoid the back-up (which was nice), but it still took forever to return to our hotel. We would never have made it to Quebec City and return if we had tried!

What to do if the weather is bad? Our friends in Canada have taken their sport of curling to a new level...!!!
