I went skiing with friends yesterday at Breckenridge, CO. The ski reports mentioned a large accumulation of snow but forgot to mention the 80-95 mph winds that encrusted everything. After six hours of twenty one below zero chill factors and blowing snow that was blinding we ended the day very red faced and exhausted. We're now warm in our homes. We need to better interpret ski reports in the future.

It will be in the low 50's today so the rest of the snow should melt. The big mound of snow at the end of the street be still be there for awhile but most everything else will be gone.

We are still having warm weather and no rain. Saturday was 71 and I drove top down in my SL. Predictions of rain for next week.

Temp is predicted to be below freezing for at least the next week and a half. Teens for highs this week. When is it going to end?!

Back to 40s feeling like 30s with the wind. A 20-degree drop from yesterday. Oh well, at least we had a respite for a couple of days. This whole week will be chilly.

Ah, but you'll be getting some this week. I'll get some too, but a couple of days after you.

It's snowing again. Big, fat flakes ... not sticking to the roads yet but it's coming down. Supposed to snow tomorrow too.

Rain in the forecast. Looking forward to it. If the news weather-casters are to be believed (she said, fully recognizing the unlikeliness of such a thing) this may be a rain of biblical proportions. Or at least the heaviest we have seen in two years, which isn't saying much since we are in a pretty serious multiple year drought
