Well, only 4 days until you can watch "A Tradition Unlike Any Other," and you know it will look just like that!

Yesterday was miserable (see above). Last night the rain had stopped and we headed out to dinner. When we came out the winds had picked up. I thought yesterday could not get much worse as "spring" days go, but I was wrong. We have not had a hard winter, but it has seemed so very long. Today we have a bit of sunshine, still windy and not all that pleasant. I think we need to move.

Just took Nessa out to do her business, and was thrilled to hear the sounds of the lawnmower next door. Spring must really be here!

Due to disabled snowblower, I shoveled the front walkway.
It's nice and warm and quite nice out actually.
the snow is now only about 3" deep but you could literally squeeze water out of it.
It took me an hour to go 40 feet but that is just fine. slow and easy, shovel, pause, shovel.
every few minutes I checked my watch to monitor my heart rate.
nice part about being warm is I didn't have to hurry to get back inside to get out of the cold.

We finally got a decent day yesterday. Temp peaked at 55°. Spent the afternoon with my neighbors cleaning up the recent storm damage. Cut up 3 pine trees, ~40' tall and hauled them out to the curb for town cleanup later this month. Made a mess of the yard with the ATVs and trailers. Got a lot of ruts to fill now. Would have been nice to wait for the yard to firm up, but the neighbors were available and willing, and the town won't make a second trip, so it had to be done. The pile at the street must be 200' long and 4' high! Today will be dry and 60's, but then we are back to rain...and even a little more snow predicted towards the end of the week. Looks like the cars won't be coming out of storage until at least the 15th.

Looks like the weather is finally going to break this weekend. Upper 60°/lower 70° for Sunday/Monday/Tuesday.

Was going to get the cars and motorcycle out, but now the forecast is for 3" of snow tomorrow. Just my luck, they will probably salt the crap out of the roads again.

We should be seeing a bit of sun soon, and it will be welcome. We have had so many dreary days since late March I swear I need to double my dose of Vitamin D!!

One week from tomorrow we leave for SC where I'm hoping we will see plenty of
