This was yesterday. Today supposed to be 109 - 111 depending on who you listen you. In case you didn't read it, San Francisco set an all time, in recorded history, of 106 yesterday.

It's amazing...I was looking at the temps in Seattle, where my nephew is coming from and I thought they were wrong - 80s and 90s. All the hot weather is in the west. We have cooled off quite a bit. Only in the 60s today.

Hey! It's only dry heat, out west. Though, getting close to 200ºF or something.

Here I am, getting ready for another "hot" Saturday Night out!

Updated picture- Saturday 9/2. Hotter than Friday. Today we should see a 10 degree drop, with 10 more on Monday. That will put us back in normal range. Walking outside at 108 is unbelievable. Plus the air was filthy with smoke from fires in northern California.

Nice day in New Orleans today. High of around 88 and fairly low humidity for a change. Next weekend should be spectacular with highs in the low 80s and dry with overnight lows in the mid 60s. We may actually get to sleep with the windows open.. Unusual for this early in September.

Irma is forecast to be in South Florida Fri AM. Not sure how accurate that is. There are three tracks - South Florida, the Carolinas, and out to sea.

Well, I have my sister in Melbourne, FL, Val in Murrells Inlet, SC and niece in New Bern, NC all lined up for Irma if she turns north along the east coast. Right now, north along the west coast of FL or into the eastern Gulf of Mexico is looking like a possibility, too. Yikes...apparently the out-to-sea track is looking less likely. Love Key West, but glad I'm not there right now - or in Miami.

Irma is looking like a beast. It's a category 5 with a well defined eye and 175 mph winds already and the barometer dropping.
