The Vintage Weather Thread
26 degrees does not make me happy, but I'm glad you are happy! It looks very brown there, almost desert like. Brown grass, no grass?
As a matter of fact, it's 26 degrees now with 1-3" of snow predicted to start around evening commute. Rick and I will be home by then, but for those traveling home, when the snow starts at the commute hour, the snow quickly packs down and makes an icy glaze on the road. Not fun. It happened the other morning and there were a lot of accidents. Winter sucks in my world! I'd be quite OK if I never saw a snowflake again!

I get what you are saying about natural vs the concrete of buildings and the traffic of highways with many lanes, I'd need to calm my soul too.
I love the Napa Valley. In the summer the hills are brown (on the east side) and the vineyards are green. In the winter, the grass grows on the hills and they are green, and the vineyards go from red-orange to brown. Always color somewhere.

We're finally getting some cold-weather color in the maple trees at my place down in San Jose. Always try to enjoy the "green hill season."
Technically it is a high alpine desert. They only get 16" of rani a year. We call that a wet April.
Yeah there is no doubt winter has settled in even if it doesn't formally start for another week.
that 26° looked good this morning compared to the 11° Thursday morning.
