Pretty snowfall here too. 5" on the ground with another 5+ before Christmas morning.

90% of our snow has melted. We are supposed to get 1-3" tomorrow afternoon and maybe a little more on Christmas. So, it should be a white Christmas and as long as I don't get my Red Rider I can see it.

I got about 3 inches tonight in Loveland, Colorado. I don't think it's going to melt except off my asphalt driveway, I hope. I'll be having a white Christmas for the first time.

Eh’.. 8° temp is kid’s stuff! It’s a dry cold at high elevation (less atmospheric saturation). I’ve skied at -18° before and haven’t been bothered by it. It’s all what you get used to and dress for. Being from CA it may take a year or two for an adjustment.

We've had light snow all day so we're nearing the 3" mark. It's a balmy 24°. In about an hour I have to go set up 36 luminaries and light them. It's been a hood tradition since before we moved here in the early 80's. Frankly I'm sick of it, bah humbug.

I like it, Gary. I imagine I'll get sick of cold but l sure like it now. Lainey, my sister and Jerry (Spokes Man) are all having a laugh on Facebook at my winter newbie joy. I'm so sick of noisy cars, dirty, too warm, humid air and having local streets in SoCal that are larger (4-8 lanes) than the highway near Loveland. It's going to take a while for me to not be glad I'm here in Colorado.

Patricia, Its a really beautiful state. When we go to FL to see family we get a taste of all the things you mentioned and we say there's no way we want to live like that. So get into Winter sports or Indoor sports and enjoy.

It is beautiful. I saw an article on small towns trying to lure people to move there. One of them was Telluride. Interesting, since there are many very exclusive homes there. Maybe it's the middle class who are leaving since they can't afford it.

Have you been talking to the Colorado natives? I've gotten that attitude too many times. I don't know why California natives are so welcoming to everyone one. When I was a kid...
