I ride my bike outdoors but my threshold is around 32 degrees. We get a lot of wind at the beach so that makes the wind chill somewhere in the teens. Lots of layering and I retired from Gore so I wear lots of Gore windstopper outer material which I get a discount on. We walk daily as there is a covered trail across the street which winds all the way down to Rehoboth Beach and the trees cut down on the wind. I'm taking the bike to Fla. in March and dont plan to take any cold weather clothing.

I keep telling myself at 11:00 AM I'm going.....we'll see.

I could have to take a drive somewhere. I washed the glass of a light fixture in the kitchen (by hand) and some of the finish on the glass peeled off.

The fixture is only three years old (when we did the kitchen) and matches another fixture. May have to find some replacement glass.
No excuses now. Called the lighting place and they will ship me three replacement glass "globes" for the fixture, free of charge.

I'm glad I have enough OCD to have saved and organized, all the receipts for the purchases I made when we remodeled the kitchen.

I don't go walking when it's cold outside or when it's warm outside. Unless I'm dragged kicking and screaming, which has been known to happen around here lately.
I walked close to two miles the other day, on purpose no less.

I was once told to go take a hike! What distance does that mean?

It all depends on who told you to take a hike.....it could be a very short walk, off a cliff or something....

Well I took my hike/walk. Walked for about 55 minutes, and got real lucky. Temps were almost to 32, and the wind was minimal. The path around the park was mostly cleared of all snow/ice.

Felt darn good to get some fresh air, WAY better than the treadmill in the basement.

Had a nice healthy bowl of chili at Wendy's for lunch before I continued with some errands.

I need to think about walking part of the route around the park on my lunch hour on work days. With travel to/from I should have about 1/2 hour for walking. Now to carry out the plan.

Treadmill all the way. I just turn on the tube and walk away.

I walk twice a day everyday on my 15 minute work breaks. Is it cold YES but I bundle up trudge out there and get it done. Tomorrow looks like fun 0 degrees or below when I wake up time for a layer of polypropolene.

I run in the cold, does that count? I have actually come home with ice on my shoulders.
