Default Warrantee question

Has anyone here had experience with a dealer not honoring the new car warrantee for the use of an aftermarket intake?

The unit is too much trouble to take off in the event I have a problem that would usually be covered.
I did a search first but no hits.

There shouldn't be a problem if its a CAI and i'm assuming it is. Ofcourse all dealers
are not the same. I belive there is a law concerning this that more or less states
that if the modification didn't cause the problem with the defect then the dealer
must honor the warranty, or something to that effect. My dealer doesn't have a
problem with bolt on modification's but once you get in to the internals that a
different story.

Edit. Keep in mind that if the dealer has to remove the modification for warranty work there probably will be extra charge for removing same. As its not part of the
original equipment.

Thanks FB. i know there are some dealers out there that would give one some heat over this. Depends I guess on how much return business he is looking for.
