^ I think it's just a reflection of the slowness of the site in general...not a reflection on us!! Not sure when it will change, though. Soon, I hope! To me, two features that need to come back ASAP are the lightbulb and the indicator on the buddy list that shows which buddies are logged on. I've posted about them a few times in Site Info, but not sure when/if they will reappear. The lightbulb has been promised...that fostered a sense of community that is lacking right now to some extent. Not to mention frustrations with the performance of v4. Lots of peeps complaining about how slow it is.

This is a little off-topic, but in reading this thread, it suddenly occurred to me that the Vintage Forum is really the only "club" that is not regional. Our membership spans the United States and even other countries -- WOOT!! Our meets include folks from many states, not just the region in which we live -- WOOT, WOOT!! GO VINTAGE!!!!

^ Yes, Val...that is the reason we were fighting so hard a few months back not to be put in that section! So far, we haven't been. I hope it stays that way.

I mentioned Vintage Owners, wait, OK, I pushed Vintage Owners this weekend. Wow, I'm like a peddler of Vintage. Anyway, I met a bunch of nice Vintage (and youngins too) owners this weekend at the Megameet IV. I kept telling them we are under represented out here in the west, and it was their duty as American S2000s owners, past 40 years old, to come stand up for us. They weren't swayed. Some of them were from Arizona. It seems like people out here stick mostly to their regional forums.

The best part of this thread is the add that appeared at the bottom when I finished reading it: "Help People with Brain Tumors"

I discovered yesterday that I don't even like to be referred to as Middle Aged That may be what I am, but by golly, I don't have to like it (or act it or feel it).
You may not even be middle aged - you may be even older!

You all must know that we live for 3 score years + 10, i.e 70 years of age.

If that is the case then let us divide our lives into thirds.

The first third is youth, the second third is middle age and the final third is old age.

Let's also divide 70 by 3.

This means that we become middle aged at age 23 and old aged at 46.

How many 23 years old do you think can cope with being called middle aged, and how many of you 46 year olds like being called seniors?

Well face the facts folks, because that's the truth. .

As for myself, I'm 50 years old but more than happy to acknowledge my maturity and not interested in pretending to myself, or others, than I am anything other than that.

Well, I did start getting stuff from AARP when I turned 40 And I really DO hope I'm middle-aged (as opposed to being senior, and I'm quite certain I don't want to be classed as a youth!)

That math is bogus. First off, we live to be 100. If you die sooner, it's your own fault. Second off, Middle age starts in the middle, so that's 50. I'm not even 49 yet so get out of here with that "middle aged" stuff.
