Weekend at Dean's
Bill, I hope you made arrangements with the snow plow guy before leaving town!
on your efforts to get to FL.
Enjoy the plane ride and the rum and cokes! Hope Barbara gets to leave town.
My sisters (two of them) are supposed to be traveling north on Thursday night. We'll see if that happens.

Matt,
A late regret that we will not see you. Anything we can do to remove the unforeseen circumstance? Together we have the power to issue subpoenas, de-bug computer systems, make flight, hotel and dinner reservations, conjugate verbs in a number of languages, write letters of recommendation, write letters of condemnation, build aquariums, captain small vessels, identify rare aquatic species by their Latin names, and perform a variety if mathematic equations that I can't even name. We can petition the governments of several states, influence the platforms of two or more political parties, and contact a number of elected officials in the federal government. Some of us might even have government clearance!!!

Bill,
Thank you for your statement.
I don't know if you recall but you were one the first people that the Plant Pixie and me met at our first S2000 event, Fall Colors Tour 2003. You were at the bar (not taking an exam). As you seem to want to take on the role of my counsel I have to confide a few things to you. First off, the reason that I am not attending was not unforeseen, as I stated: It was due to circumstances that were beyond my control. As I ran a virus and malware scan on my PC tonight, my PC is (thankfully) bug free. I was able to cancel my hotel reservation on line without problems. I admit that I due sometimes have trouble with my grammar. As I am unemployed (or retired, depending on one's point of view) I do not currently need a letter of recommendation. On the other hand, I am fairly certain that there very may be a line of people willing to write letters of condemnation. Regarding aquariums: I have been afraid to go to one after Dean almost got us kicked out of the on in Mystic at the Nor' Easter 2006 meet. However, if you ever wish to take me fishing for Blue fish or better yet Tuna I accept. Unfortunately, if I ever appear on Jeopardy, they do not allow "life lines" so your offer of naming aquatic species by their Latin names will be of no help. Regarding your comments about mathematical equations, petitioning governments, influencing the platforms of two or more political parties and contacting elected officials: Tell them to get their act together, balance the budget and do what is right for the country, not what is good for their careers in regards to fund raising, or their deep pocket contributors. I cannot comment on your last comment, because, I can keep more than a SECRET.

I sincerely hope that you all arrive in FL on time to have a great time safe and sound. Enjoy.
Bill, best wishes for Barbara's travel plans. Same to you, Deb.
Good luck to everyone trying to escape the Northeast week. And good luck to all who might be following this thread from the great white north without escape plans. Here's hoping your larders and your liquor closets are well stocked.
This is why we put up with hurricanes down here.

My offer still stands... if you are in need of a ride or any directions for the area feel free to PM me. We'll be attending Friday nights dinner together. Saturday I will be back at Deans ... but may need to leave for another event around 6pm. However, my Sunday is free as well ... so, just let me know if you guys need anything.
Looking forward to meeting you folks!

Money on a plow guy is well worth it.

Almost went back and edited it but was in a rush to get over to the Vintage Weather thread.
