Weekend at Dean's
Deb: The circumstances that I am referring too are NOT weather related.
I also was looking forward to meeting you. However, after talking to the others that have met me, and have known me over the last decade plus, you may very well get over it.
This may be especially true if you talk to GrannyRod, after a few
.
Dean & Rori, thank you for your hospitality. I really wish that I could have made it down to see you Dean and meet Rory. But, circumstances have prevented it.
Please accept my best wishes, and I hope that you and everyone in attendance has a great time.

Dean - I sent you a PM before I saw Rori's post, so some of my questions have been answered. I have Rori's cell number. I think we are all going to have a really great time.

You'll have to take up the matter with Rori. I've been forbidden to do anything except show up for the dinner.

Saturday dinner is informal buffet style at my place, and is being "catered" by Olive Garden. Everything has been ordered and the tab has been paid. Did I cover everything?

Matt,
A late regret that we will not see you. Anything we can do to remove the unforeseen circumstance? Together we have the power to issue subpoenas, de-bug computer systems, make flight, hotel and dinner reservations, conjugate verbs in a number of languages, write letters of recommendation, write letters of condemnation, build aquariums, captain small vessels, identify rare aquatic species by their Latin names, and perform a variety if mathematic equations that I can't even name. We can petition the governments of several states, influence the platforms of two or more political parties, and contact a number of elected officials in the federal government. Some of us might even have government clearance!!!
Dean,
I am on a plane to Tampa Florida by way of Atlanta as I write this. After three rum and cokes, this is the best I can do, so please forgive the errors in spelling and grammar. The great Blizzard of 2015 threatened to derail all my plans. Yesterday I changed my Tuesday flight to Wednesday. Then this morning I had to change my Wednesday flight to today. I woke up thinking I had a day and a half to pack. Then the governor announced airport closures and my airline cancelled the Wednesday flight. I made a new reservation for a 2:55 flight, drove home from the office, packed a bag, begged Barbara to forgive me for abandoning her to the blizzard, drove to Logan airport, and here I am at 36,000 feet. I'd like to say it is all for you, but that would be bull sh!t. I'm hopeful that Barbara will get out on Friday. We have another storm predicted for Thursday into Friday in the Boston area.
To the entire congregation,
I'm not sure there is anything more I can do, but I will be happy to see all of you soon. Stay thirsty, my friends.
