Publix prices are too high. They don't offer discount cards as they claim their products are already discounted which is BS. We shop at Walmart when we visit Florida and pay much less.

We love their deli sandwiches, etc. and don't stay there long enough to worry about prices. Even if we did, we'd pass on Walmart.

Volkswagen? Known and loved? Reputation?

Was this poll taken before VW/Audi/Mercedes et. al. hacked their emissions tests and gassed monkeys with diesel exhaust in painfully cramped box? Try explaining that video to your children. Gotta love the Germans and their gas chambers.

I think it was a once-a-year survey Chuck about top 100 companies based on feelings. But read in to it what ever you want. And then take a chill pill.

Merely pointing out these polls are nothing I'd use making any decisions. Anyone "respecting" companies with the morals of VW hasn't a clue.

I think there is little doubt that making this list will be celebrated among the public relations staffs of these companies, and rightly so. While obviously not a true indicator of a company's performance or the quality of its products, a positive perception of a company will always be a factor, conscious or unconscious, in buyer decisions. Marketing 101.

Boeing at #19. That may change!
I keep an LLBean credit card in my deck just for free shipping and returns. I wear their tops and slippers in the cold weather, use their luggage on my Southwest flights and my go-to coat is an old LLBean parka.

If you click on the company it breaks down the individual components in the ranking. If you look at the small history box in the top right corner you will see VW was in the red for a couple years. It has just recently moved into the yellow on some components. Green is where a company wants to be. I think the answer to your question lies in the details.
