My parents are going into their :coughs: and they like traditional asian/chinese music. My 22 year old sister likes all different genre's other than classical and hard rock. I'm a classical and catchy or a touching song liker. I am odd.

That said, I like just about anything else. I'll have a mix of CDs with me in the car, classical, 50s-80s country (don't care much for the current stuff), bluegrass, so-called classic rock, metal, English Invasion, 50s rockabilly, Sinatra, jazz, big-band and on and on and on.

Tomcat, I'm with you. I can't get into the Rap-hip0pop stuff. I tried listening to some of it and it is just too contradictory and derogatory.

But, I'm a little less country than you...like none....Well, maybe some Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline

Rob,

You should bring your son to Cleveland this weekend. We have the Gravity Games going on. They started yesterday and conclude Sunday. I think they are being broadcast live Sunday. Anyway, I'm taking Bryan there Saturday. It would be nice to have another adult to talk to. I'll be surrounded by generation Y.
I'd bring him, but he's already committed to skateing with some friends a few towns over. Oh well.

Back to the music.

Does anyone else like 1950s and 1960s R & B? Doo Wop? Buddy Holly?

I listen to classical, blues, folk, & classic rock mostly (I do have to get my Floyd fix). Currently the 10 CD's in the car are:

Rock Operas (Tommy, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair)
Credence
Steve Goodman
Paul Simon
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
George Thorogood
Queen
Mozart for your Mind
Pink Floyd (Symphonic - just music)
Pink Floyd - Echoes
