Chaz your use of Jesus in your reply demonstrates the hypocrasy of the times we live in. I said it before and I'll say it again "Christianity is fair game in America today". If I were a muslim or any other minority I think you would choose your words more carefully as not to offend me or my beliefs. IMO of course.

I found this amusing as well.

IMO of course, the Muslims are the fair game.

That's not surprising to me, sad and infuriating, but not surprising. Evidentally, we didn't learn much from our shameful behavior during WWII. Assuming, of course, that many Americans know something of this country's history.

What I do find curious is how the pc police have just about made every other "old expression" as you refer to it taboo and deemed offensive to some group... with exception to Chrisitans and esp. white Christians who live in the south, "we" IMO are fair game unfortunately.
"Fair game" for what exactly? When various factions of the Christian religion in this country attempt to force their beliefs on the rest of the population, I suppose it's politically incorrect for the rest of us to defend our rights.
The south is well known for it's pockets of Christian fundamentalism - a band of folks not well known for their critical thinking skills, their level of education, their tolerance of intellectualism, or their tolerance of anything that opposes their provincial views.

I like to stay on topic as much as the next guy but it gets personal sometimes and I stand up for what I think is right and using Jesus Christ in that way is .. in your words "wrong".
I take this to mean that freedom of self expression and tolerance only apply to those folks who share your values. Unfortunately, in a free society you're going to experience things that you don't like, or encounter only those people who share your piety. It comes with the territory.

Dean, the media portrays Christians as unreasonable and violent, charging them with violent acts against abortionists, abortion clinics or homosexuals while at the same time both Hollywood and the media downplay injustices and violent acts committed against Christians.

A favorite media tactic is the use of the pejorative term "religious right" to describe Christian conservatives, implying such believers are "intolerant, backwoods fanatics, and yet never labeling religious liberals such as Jesse Jackson, as the
