We are staying home this weekend but someone is getting her first shower in a week and her dressings changed.

We have Family Day long weekend here, my wife and I are going to a bed and breakfast getaway. We haven't gone very far since Covid started when our main vacation was cancelled. We have been doing small excursions like this in past months.

We would always be in Frankenmuth Michigan for Family Day weekend in most years, but we haven't done that since 2019. Hopefully in 2023 we may be back there on Family Day.

We went to an MG club event today. Our club has one business meet a year and this was it. The club rented an old train depot and had lunch catered in from a place called the B52 BBQ. Weather cooperated although very windy and cold . . no new snow . . so it was a nice turnout and a good time to plan the upcoming events for 2022 over a little brew.

Very nice brunch. Younger grandniece Sporty has indicated she wants to play ice hockey!! Guess soccer and climbing are not enough. Might have to settle for field. Headed to nephew’s house tomorrow to continue the celebration. He is perfecting his pizza making. Has not bought a pizza oven yet but probably will at some point.

I got the pizza bug in recent years. A great home pizza oven that is easy to move and store and easy to operate is the Gozney, very affordable. An entry level oven but it can make pizzas as good as any high end wood oven pizza restaurants. It easily surpasses 900 degrees F, a great little appliance.

Well it is best eaten as the pizza comes out of the oven to keep it crusty lol.

It hooks up to a propane cylinder much like a BBQ, once up to temp just slide in the pizza and in 90 seconds you have a perfectly cooked pizza. Making pizzas is messy work but well worth it. We shoot for a temp of about 900 degrees F on the integrated pizza stone. Our pizza cooking season is 3 seasons only, so this oven is portable and can be brought in during winter. I'd love a big permanent outdoor wood oven (I think Jerry has one of them) one day, but this is a good start for us.

Nephew will look into that oven. His pizza was really good. Now we are spoiled.
