Picking up Bea at PHL tomorrow night after her visiting her sister in Alabama. She's been there since Friday, which is one more day than I could stomach being around her. (Bea agrees with me!)
Then, Friday, have to be back in Philly at 8:30 for an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon at the Rothman Institute. I have been having issues with my left knee for over a year, which is arthritic, and painful at times, though I got a cortisone shot last Friday which stopped the pain temporarily. Hope the doc says surgery is not indicated.
Saturday morning, taking the NSX to a big local car show, hoping someone knows what it is!

wouldn't that interrupt the work flow?
Well there was quite a lot of lube involved, so it slid in remarkably easy.

The pipe is SN4-rated, ribbed, double-walled HDPE, which sounds flimsy but when laid correctly it can withstand vehicle loads up to 50 metric tons. Being plastic the pipe only weighs about 180lb but it still makes for a pretty decent pendulum once it gets moving. The area I'm working in is a combination of clay and very dry soil that I have to use a fencing spade to cut into because the shovel won't make a dent in it, so cave-ins aren't too much of a concern. Even if it did collapse it would be more annoying than dangerous.

Fri evening it is our fave venue again…this time for two tribute bands playing The Cars, Sting and The Police. Should be another fun night!

This coming weekend, we are using our S2000s to ferry two dignitaries for the Conejo Valley Days parade in Westlake Village, CA. I hope someone gets pictures of us.

Everybody loves a parade!

Status update:
Picked up Bea - Check, flight arrived early
Rothman Institute - Successful appointment with surgeon this morning and I am very impressed with him, the facilty, and the entire staff. Surgery to be scheduled for late July/early August.
Car show - Postponed due to threat of rain

Mint juleps and fancy hats Saturday afternoon instead.

What kind of knee surgery? Replacement or a repair?
