Headed out to our Gettysburg area cottage later this am, and picking up my '68 Dodge Dart enroute (had a dead car event last Saturday which has now been fixed; who knew that there was a safety switch transmission interlock 45 years ago that could wear out : ).

The whole family will be there for a week; I'll do some G-burg Foundation volunteer work; and we may see Denny (Looter) and Sharon....as well as Tom717 and Suan

Had a blast at Laguna Seca during the track day in the Lotus. Much of the odd characteristics of the car that seem just plain stupid or annoying on the street make perfect sense and perform perfectly on a serious racetrack. I'm glad I have had this experience and these two years with the car.

But now it's time to make it go away.

Track days are what I miss most after letting the S2000 go bye-bye.

The S got her new glass last week. It really was time for a new windshield anyway, the other one was really pitted.

We were out cruising on Sunday. Stopped at one of the "smaller" mansions in RI.

The International Miami Swimshow is this weekend. Always like this time of year, the sightseeing is excellent. Swimshow

After South Beach we're headed to Key West for some R&R and a little fishing.

It's going to be a great long weekend.

Life is Good.

Ours will be quiet for a change. I've been very busy since the end of June. Winging it.

Daughter & her family will be staying with us for a week. Seeing 2.5 year old grand daughter is always fun. Sadly, that the son-in-law thought he should bring FL weather to MI. We have a heat advisory and the humity is 75 degrees. It will be in the 90's tomorrow! Not my kind of weather - in fact I hate it but will endure for the Hot Air Ballon festivle on Saturday. Thankfully, MI weather returns on Monday.

Headed out to walk to one of our fave places for dinner later. Then tomorrow there is a BBQ Bash here in Rosslyn. Closing off some streets. Should be good. Sun night may go to a local dive for some blues music.

Is that Newport Lainey?
I got the folks coming up for a visit for the next few days and I'm working today.
