Mine is not like an on off thing due to the Karcepts tune. With the lowered VTEC point it is very linear and you really only know by the sound change. But even stock it is not really much of a thing

Jerry, you are finally catching on. Well done. Add a game room, bar and heat while you're at it.

My Impreza is (40-60 R-F) and the rear end is a bit more settled because of that, both work really well though.
Yeah I have faith in the WRX, biggest issue I had last night was visibilty, there was about 5 miles I was driving in heavy fog. Tires also make a difference, we had a storm one October and I still had the sport maxx s on and it wasn't pretty.

Good point. I need about a 5 or six bay garage with an apartment above it and I'll be all set. Until it's time to add more bays.

For sure. My wifes daily is a 13 Tacoma and before that the 3rd Gen 4Runner. Being in MN, it make me feel a lot more comfortable knowing she is driving those on Blizzaks when the weather is bad. I have driven us through a few very bad storms in both of those. One was 40 mph crosswind gusts, over a foot of snow on the highway already, and a layer of ice underneath it once. Turned a 9 hour drive in 14, but the little 4Runner never made me even so much as pucker. Ditches looked like parking lots and we just trudged through it. Huge relief being able to have confidence in what you are driving in very bad conditions like that.

I once had the inverse.
We had our front drive Millenia up in Jericho, Vermont in late Sept.
The Millenia still had it's summer rated ties on
A squall came up and dumped a half an inch of frozen yuck. snow sleet rain.
I could barely crawl at 10-15 mph without the car taking off in crazy directions.
The tires had turned into little steel ball bearings on ice with a coefficient of friction near zero.

The only complaint I have with my home, 1.5 garage and 3 vehicles, it's like choosing your favourite child to protect the most. lol. When looking at replacement homes this year we actually came across homes with no garage, which I found odd for our region, that really turned me off.

Hey guys,

Great post. I've done most of the things listed in this write-up regarding winter storage. The one thing I'd like to learn more about is putting the car in reverse.. I currently have it in neutral with wheel chocks but if there's a good reason to put it into reverse I'll go into the garage and do that lol

Happy holidays!!

Just came back from a top down errand run in the S and was adjusting the hvac and that got me trying to remember what the best setting was to leave it in while the car was in storage and that got me to think of this thread. So figured I would look it up and bring this thread back to life as some of us may be getting ready to put our babies to sleep soon.
