Even with Superman and the Statue of Liberty in the stands it wasn't enough to stop the VERY LAST second shot to tie the game. Still it was fun to watch. Anyone else watching?

it was an excellent test of my cardiac mods.
Awesome game. You could tell everyone was absolutely spent by the end of the game.

It was a finger nail biter for me. I was devastated by the last few seconds score. It was such a bummer!

Was a very good game. Good news for the US team, that tie didn't eliminate us, and we still have an excellent chance to make it to the knockout stage. A win or tie and we're in, and a loss with the right mix of goal differential and we're still in.

One of the sites says it's 77% chance to advance. That site also gives Ghana and Portugal almost identical chances, around 12% to advance. I'd find it very hard for Portugal to advance at this point considering their goal differential. If Ghana were to beat Portugal by 1 and we lose to Germany by 1, the next tiebreaker is total goals. So a 1-0, 1-0 outcome would leave the US and Ghana tied, and we'd win the 3rd tiebreaker, head to head. If Ghana wins by 2 or scores 2 in a 1 goal win, they move on. Portugal would need to win by 4 to even have a chance.

Germany ranks #2, US ranks #13...... so I don't think I'd say we have an excellent chance but we can hope so.

We do have an excellent chance. We don't need to win the game to advance. A tie is a guaranteed advancement, a tie in the Portugal/Ghana match is a guaranteed advancement. A Portugal win (barring a huge amount of goals) is an advancement.

The most likely scenario that we wouldn't advance is that Ghana scores at least 2 in a win over Portugal and we lose to Germany.

That last potential outcome is quite likely.

Btw it's draw, not tie
