I saw some CBD Gummie Bears in the organic store yesterday. .The label said :"contains no THC May cause drowsiness." The news said they want to put it in your cookies. They said CBD doesn't give you a high. So why do I want to eat it?

Chacun à son goût!
Haha The only times I have (in college) ever hugged the great white telephone to talk about Buicks was after over-partying on alchohol.

Still same question. What am I supposed to get out of eating it? What are the benefits if any?

Ignore the hype.

CBD is derived from hemp and is thus legal. CBD can also be derived in marijuana but it then becomes (rightly or wrongly) a schedule 1 drug. The Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018 removed CBD and extracts of hemp under 0.3% total THC from the Controlled Substances Act

Some preliminary research has been conducted in the use of CBD for treatment of certain neurological disorders but so far results have not been very convincing, and the quality of the studies is weak, which is not inappropriate for preliminary studies that are only designed to identify potentially fruitful ground for further research.

FDA has approved an oral solution of CBD in treatment of two vary rare forms of childhood epilepsy.

Here is what the FDA has found:
"Over the past several years, FDA has issued several warning letters to firms that market unapproved new drugs that allegedly contain cannabidiol (CBD). As part of these actions, FDA has tested the chemical content of cannabinoid compounds in some of the products, and many were found to not contain the levels of CBD they claimed to contain. It is important to note that these products are not approved by FDA for the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of any disease. Consumers should beware purchasing and using any such products."

IMHO, CBD is just the latest supplement fad, propelled by the fact that it is derived from marijuana. (ooooh) It isn't, at least not legally, but never let facts get in the way of a good marketing strategy.
