He should have been at the Noon Buffet . . . when we turned on the game the wife and I both wondered who the heck is killing that song.

Dead on center of uprights and plenty of height.

Yep, that would have been good from 60 plus easily.

Now the NFL has announced that those calls will be reviewable. Too little too late. I'm sure that makes the Saints feel so much better. Let's hope that ref doesn't get picked to officiate the SB.

So, yes, the Rams earned the win.

But here's the thing: If the ref calls the pass interference, there is a 99% chance the Saints win the game, running the clock down and kicking a chip shot field goal. And the Saints finally break back through to their second Super Bowl. And that makes a big difference for Drew Brees/ legacy. It doesn't quite put him on Brady's level. Tom will, after all, be playing in his NINTH Super Bowl. (John Elway is next with five). But another Super Bowl appearance and win, combined with all those passing records, would put Brees in the front of the line on the next rung of the 21st Century quarterbacks. So, yeah. That play mattered.

Interesting side note: But for one blown call and one zero-impact off-sides, the Saints and Chiefs are facing off in Super Bowl LIII. Funny game.
That was what I was hoping for. I may or may not watch the SB.

With respect to the upcoming Super Bowl, long time Boston fans will recognize the simple phrase "BEAT LA"
although to be honest it doesn't feel like the Rams are from LA. more like a bunch of migrants.

Apparently Goodell has it in his power to overturn the outcome of the game or order the game replayed.

if only they had deflated those balls huh?

Jerry, are you saying the ref was on the take and the game was fixed?

I was thinking of the Saint's getting shafted. As for the balls I never assume treachery when malfeasance easily explains the actions.
Goodell could presumably make a cash grab and replay the game next weekend for big revenue dollars.
