Default 2002 Glass Window

Is there need to buy mats or cleaners to prevent scratches on the new 2002 glass windows?

I don't think the window except at the edge. Our 2000/2001 plactic windows folded and that fold rested on the hard plastic. The rough ride moved the plastic all over the place, scratching the window. I don't think you'll need one.

Nope. I have been following the -00/-01 glass rear window retrofit threads. They describe how the new top folds. You should have a problem. If you do see scuffing around the edge of the window frame, then get a Muz mat.

glass is hard to scratch. most minor scratches on glass wont be noticeable anyway. i dont think you need to worry about it.

I wouldn't think you would need anything special. I owned a 99 miata for 3 years which had a glass rear window similar to the '02. Never used anything special on it except regular carwash and it was pristine when I sold the car.

I noticed while washing my car the other day that my rear window (glass) has a scratch in it.
It doesn't look like a scratch where something like a key scratched it, but more like something
a little larger was rubbing on it repeatedly. It was on the lower driver side of the window.

Let me know if you figure out what might have caused the damage. I'll try and see if I get the same scratch.
