and then you need a good discussion of touch-up... we have one in our how-tos at the top of the board. if you dont find it, let us know and someone will track it down

I used some fairly mild abrasive emery cloth. It's like sandpaper, but with a cloth backing. I masked the unaffected areas off using tape, unscrewed the fender line and then carefully slowly worked at it. Afterwards, I heated up the area with a heat gun on low temperature to make the paint flow, and used OEM touch-up paint on the area. It looks good, you have to really look at the area closely to tell that I've done anything.
