I used "Goof Off" on my side emblems worked very well. Someone probably has used it for this also.

Goo Gone works fine...haven't done the windshield tape but it on adhesive this stuff works fine...good luck dude...go slow and be careful

I too have had great luck with GooGone, I think the trick is to put it onto something like a microfiber, and lay the microfiber onto the area, and let it sit for a while so the GooGone has a chance to soak in. And yes, a very good wash afterwards is a very wise idea!

the newer the car the easier it comes off

mine is a 2002 and it was a horrible b!tch to get off

i still have some left on

it sucks, and i used tons of goo gone and let it soak in too

be sure to rewax the car after cause they all will remove your protection

Would he want to clay/polish his glass after removing the tape?

Heard this mention earlier when someone was talking about the residue from the windshield markers left on their windows.

Just a thought.

any excuse!!

not necessarily related to the tape removal, but what the heck- why not polish the windshield at this point?

as with any process, the first step is inspection- if the windshield does not look like new, then a clay/ glass polish process would be called for...
good point!!

goo gone has helped me around the house and car several times. Definately worth it! WD-40 works ok, but with the goo gone, it worked quicker.
